ConnectX Selection: Match the Cage, Form Factor and Security Variant

Use an exact-code decision tree

Begin with the server connection: a stand-up PCIe card, an OCP 3.0 card, or a system-specific adapter assembly. The MCX750500C configurations are publicly described as assemblies with four ConnectX-7 devices and PCIe 5.0 x32. A standard one-device HHHL card is not a mechanical substitute, even when both products use the ConnectX-7 name. The owner-confirmed 0D0K description explicitly specifies no heatsink. The 0D00 cooling bill of materials still needs its own confirmation; do not infer that it includes the opposite cooling configuration.

Match network interfaces next

The MCX75310AA OSFP variants in this set provide either 400GbE/NDR or 200GbE/NDR200, depending on the complete suffix. The MCX713104 variants have four SFP56 ports and are listed for 25/50GbE. MCX713114TC-GEAT adds timing capabilities in an FHHL configuration. MCX713434AS-ADAI is an OCP 3.0 SFF variant with internal-lock retention. Its model-specific specification and the owner data support 25/50GbE; the overview’s 25GbE entry is identified as a default configuration. The model-specific 50GbE configuration is passive-only.

Check hardware revision and lifecycle

The current manual conditions dual-protocol support for MCX75310AAS-NEAT on hardware AA or later, and MCX75310AAS-HEAT on A7 or later. The exact OCP MCX713434AS-ADAI entry is marked Prototype. Do not let a general family datasheet clear either condition. Secure boot and crypto also appear as separate columns; a secure-boot variant can have crypto disabled.

Resolve source conflicts at the field level

For MCX623430MS-CDAB, the dedicated exact-model specification and ordering page identify dual DSFP, no crypto and Multi-Host/Socket Direct. A general introduction row disagrees. Prefer the exact-model evidence, retain the conflict and verify the actual hardware before ordering. Some ConnectX-7 overview and detailed tables also disagree on dimensions; leave disputed numeric fields unset until an approved mechanical drawing is available. For MCX713434AS-ADAI, the owner and exact-model specification agree on PCIe 4.0 x16, while the overview lists PCIe 5.0 x16. Retain this generation discrepancy for qualification without suppressing the confirmed port, form-factor and security fields.

Build a reviewable handover

Provide the installer with exact card identifiers, server retention type, interconnect code, intended link type, hardware revision and PSID. A manufacturer illustration is useful for orientation but does not authenticate the delivered unit or establish permission for commercial image reuse.
